With a global revenue of 1.6 billion euros and more than 4500 employees working in 34 countries around the world, our client in Malaysia is seeking to increase their growth plans with a National Custom Brokerage & Road Network Manager

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Management Team and will be fully responsible for nationwide product development, growth strategy, procurement, troubleshooting major operations dispute of custom brokerage & road network activities across Malaysia.

You have senior level management experience and familiar with the principles and practise of supply chain management. You would also have a working knowledge of the international transportation and logistics industry.

As a senior member of the management team, you will be responsible for

  • Road Network activities for the company in Malaysia
  • Customs brokerage & road network solutions, in cooperation with the regional APAC Road Network team.
  • Full P&L responsibility of all Customs Brokerage & Road Network activities in Malaysia

Other areas include

OPERATIONAL

  • Perform effective operational planning and deliveries involving optimum use of own fleet, contract hauliers and manpower
  • Ensure all operational requirements are met and, defined performance standard and customer satisfaction is maintained to the highest level

Profitability Management

  • Sourcing and negotiating rate and service contract with contract haulers
  • Control overheads to maximize operating profit, meet budgeted P&L targets whilst maximizing financial results

Customer Service

  • Ensure effective communication process are established and maintained between supplier, internal and external customers
  • Troubleshoot operational related disputes and attend to all stakeholder’s inquires timely

Business Development

  • Advancing sales growth within existing revenue streams, and acquiring new business to increase revenue of road network division
  • Support sales development efforts of other branches and agents by creating and implanting road network presentation/ blueprint
